Australian Energy Employment Report Survey (AEER)

  The Federal Government has introduced the Australian Energy Employment Report (AEER), the country's first national energy workforce survey. The survey's goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the energy sector jobs, workers, and skills and support the industr's workforce. Launched on January 30 2023 the survey aims to:   Give federal, state and local governments insights to aid in the development of policies for jobs, skills development, and training opportunities in the energy sector. Support government initiatives, such as ensuring a transition pathway for fossil fuel workers and promoting workforce diversity. Enable energy sector businesses to improve workforce planning, support business opportunities, and direct investment.   The AEER will fill the gap in Australia's energy sector data and provide a national survey of businesses and organisations in the energy sector.   While some VEU lighting upgrades come to an end today, it's exciting to see continued demand for our products in other areas such as fluro replacements (panels, battens, shop lights), residential weather sealing, and heat pumps.   The versatility and reliability of our products provide ample opportunities for business growth and success. Changes to building based lighting activities under Part 34, including: - Removal of incentives for most building-based lighting activities under Part 34 including the removal of activities that incentivise LED lamp upgrades with more efficient LED lamps. Linear and circular fluorescent lamp upgrades (T5, T8, T12) and non-integral ballast compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) luminaire upgrades will remain as eligible activities under Part 34C.
